THIRD MEETING OF THE FIFTH CITY ASSEMBLY

On 25th Ashad the budget discussion meeting was kept in Tulsipur. The program was facilitated by GFN in coordination with Tulsipur organizing committee. The budget of Tulsipur sub-metropolitan has been passed for the coming Fiscal Year. Related stakeholders from various sectors were called in the meeting and this meeting was able to pass the budget.

According to the central government policy, on May 2, Deputy Chief Maya Sharma presented the budget. Members from different sectors were called into the meeting and the budget has been passed with some necessary amendments. The sub-municipality has decided to celebrate the coming year as a road year. Similarly, the Economic Committee and the Appropriation Bill have also been introduced by the Economic Committee Coordinator Madhav Wali. Similarly, Mr. Ghana Shyam Pandey also added that during the construction and repairment of the road, community forest, private forest will be considered so that there will be no or less damage to the natural property. He also added this will be a great effort in the local community development which will automatically promote sustainable forest management.

The Sub-Metropolitan City has also passed the Tulsipur Development Authority Relations Act, which has been formed to effectively carry forward the development work, said spokeswoman Surya Bahadur Dangi. Similarly, Devraj Biswakarma, coordinator of the Legislative Committee, presented the work. With the passage of the authorization act, the work is going to proceed. Likewise, the meeting of the sub-metropolis has also passed a proposal regarding extension of temporary, contractual staff submitted by the governing committee.
