Community Forest Day 2081, held in Nawalpur with the theme “Effectiveness of Community Forestry: Three Levels of Government and Community Participation,” celebrated community involvement in forest conservation through a tree-planting program and awards for exemplary community forests. Organized by the Division Forest Office and Fecofun Nawalpur, the event included planting 125 trees and recognizing three outstanding forests: Madhyabindu Hariyali Community Forest (First place, Rs. 12,500), Shiv Community Forest (Second place, Rs. 8,500), and Arunkhola Community Forest (Third place, Rs. 6,500). Selection criteria were based on each forest’s social, economic, and environmental contributions.
